Le sabre, le burger, et le coupion

Welcome to the world, my young grasshopper. Now, here are a few things that you should know.
In the last century, a great French musical artist wrote a song called "le sabre et le coupion." The sabre means the saber that represents the military arm of the government. The Coupion is the little thing that the priest uses to spray holy water on the church.

The metaphor is that if you didn't have time to go to church, you could always have the time to go get killed at war. He was accusing the church and the state of bonding together to manipulate the population of France. He was right.

In this day, however, I have invented a new saying for this American nation. Grasshopper, my saying is Le Sabre, Le Burger, et le Coupion.
